Beach St Accessway - Fitzroy Beach | New Plymouth
BCD provided Planning, Surveying, Geotechnical, Civil, Structural, and Draughting engineering services for the new accessible ramp at the end of Beach St for our clients the New Plymouth District Council. The key project driver was to provide a path from Ron Barclay Drive to the Fitzroy Beach carpark which meets the accessibility requirements for all people, including prams, mobility scooters, and wheelchairs. As part of the design BCD investigated and developed alternative options with NPDC to find a cost-effective solution which achieved the desired outcome.
