  • Prepare and lead applications for private plan changes

  • Assist in the development of comprehensive plans and plan development

  • Prepare submissions on notified plan changes, plan reviews, proposed plans, growth strategies, annual plans, long-term plans

  • Prepare and present expert evidence at hearings and Court proceedings

  • Preparation and presentation of evidence at hearings

  • Provide expert guidance and representation in mediation and court proceedings

  • A subdivision is the dividing of a parcel of land into two or more parcels. In most cases, subdivisions will require resource consent to submit to Council for approval. We work on all types of subdivisions, including rural, residential, commercial, industrial and unit title subdivisions.

  • Not all developments will require resource consent. This depends on the location and type of activity you are proposing. Developments which can often require resource consent include subdivisions, multiple dwellings per site and works in flooding areas. The rules around resource consent requirements differ across each district, if in doubt, please get in touch and we can assist you navigating through Councils requirements.

  • A land use consent is a type of resource consent that is required to use your land for a specific activity. Reasons for a land use consent vary across towns/cities and zones within these areas however land use consents could include residential, commercial or industrial activities.
