New Zealand Graduate School of Medicine (NZGSM) | Waikato
The Health Precinct, home to the NZGSM, is a new four-storey teaching and learning facility at the University of Waikato’s Hamilton campus. BCD Group have provided structural design services working in collaboration with the wider design team. Building Consent has been granted and construction has started.
Each floor plate spans approximately 1,400m², extending to 2,250m² at ground level, requiring carefully coordinated gravity and lateral systems. Structural design incorporates interface requirements for the IL3 ancillary pump room and transformer area, which will ultimately support multiple future buildings.
