Pūtahi Teia | Bay of Plenty
Pūtahi Teia is a progressive new A-Grade commercial development in the heart of the Tauranga CBD. BCD Group provided Structural and Fire Engineering services for the project, focusing on the seismic restraint of non-structural elements within the existing building, and fire engineering solutions for the ground floor fitout. The project required coordination with the existing structure and externally designed ceiling systems, with all partition walls and glazing engineered for independent seismic and lateral support. BCD delivered detailed design and construction monitoring, ensuring the fitout met performance and compliance requirements.
Designed by Falk Tapsell for the progressive Ahu Whenua Trust, Pukaingataru, the building is a 2026 NZIA Regional Award Winner for Commercial Architecture.
