BCD Group completed the Civil and Structural Engineering services on this project. The project consisted of demolition of the existing building to redevelop the site and construct approximately 6,000m² of accommodation and ancillary amenity spaces spread over five levels, including basement car parking.

During the design process both timber and structural steel options where reviewed, the final design is a hybrid of both structural steel bracing and a timber gravity structure which resulted in the client achieving a balanced sustainable design.

The civil team provided storm, waste and potable water supply solutions on the site which had 100% coverage. The solutions also catered for increased demands that would be put on the systems due to increased occupancy of the site.
