BCD was engaged to undertake the construction and topographical surveying component of Hamilton’s new Waikato regional theatre. The job required a wide range of surveying skills, all of which had to be completed with extreme care. The project involved maintaining the original façade of the theatre from back in the early 1900s. The physical features of this façade had to be topographically surveyed so the new design could tie into it. Once construction was underway, construction setout and monitoring were required regularly to ensure the building was erected accurately and as per the design.
Further survey scope was added for unit title subdivision of the hospitality units from the theatre. BCD completed the subdivision from the start by obtaining Resource Consent through completion of survey work for the issue of new titles.
